R-H honors Beta Club members

On Friday, April 30, Randolph-Henry High School honored outstanding academic achievement by inviting junior and senior scholars to join the National Beta Club chapter.

During the induction ceremony, Beta Club members were presented with graduation regalia, certificates, and service medallions.

Students and their two guests took photographs and were given programs and cupcakes before leaving.

While on stage, inductees recited their Beta pledge during the ceremonial lighting of the candles. Each candle represents an important aspect of being a Beta member.

Beta Club is a national service organization established to promote excellence in academics, citizenship, and leadership.

All Beta Club members are required to complete at least 10 hours of community service throughout their senior year. A portion of these hours will be covered by club projects. Students in the Beta Club receive graduation stoles, and tassels during their senior year. Beta medallions are awarded to those members who complete the community service requirements.
